Surgical / OR Tech II, Mid Shift

About the role

The OR Tech II collaborates with perioperative nurses to provide age-specific patient care, ensuring a safe surgical environment and optimal physiologic responses during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and administering patient care in the operating room
• Maintain a sterile environment and support surgical team during procedures
• Prepare and handle surgical instruments and equipment
• Ensure safety protocols are followed and patient outcomes are optimal

Key Duties

• Support surgical procedures by handling instruments and maintaining sterile techniques
• Collaborate with team members to facilitate safe and efficient surgeries
• Adapt to various service lines and complex cases

Qualifications & Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent, with completion of OR Technician training
• 2–3 years of relevant experience, proficient in scrub procedures across various service lines including robotics, vascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, plastic, and trauma cases
• Certified Surgical Technician and current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills; ability to work independently and make calls as needed
