Responsibilities
- Collaborate with perioperative nurses to organize and deliver age-specific patient care
- Maintain a safe environment to facilitate positive patient outcomes
- Ensure patients' physiological responses to surgery are as expected during procedures
- Assist in surgical procedures, ensure patient safety, and provide age-specific care, working closely with the surgical team in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Surgical Technician training program
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in scrubbing for service lines including robotics, vascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, plastic, and trauma cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and make calls
Certifications
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification (American Heart Association)
