Surgical II Technologist

Responsibilities

• Assists in performance of procedures for the surgical patient in a manner consistent with established policies and procedures.
• Assists in providing intraoperative care.
• Provides and utilizes equipment and supplies based on patient needs in a safely and adequate manner.
• Performs activities that demonstrate technical accountability.
• Participates in ongoing educational activities.
• Completes assigned goals.

• Experience: #N/A
• Minimum Required: Three (3) years of Surgical Technologist experience in an operating room
• Certification: Through an approved accreditation body as required by the state in which services are rendered.
• Preferred/Desired: Education - Minimum Required 20 Hours of continuing education annually as required to maintain certification based on state laws
• Special Skills: Computer literacy. Be a member of a professional organization.
• Licensure: Hold current national certification through appropriate/approved accreditation body as required by state where services are rendered. BLS CERTIFICATION WITHIN 14 DAYS OF HIRE
