Surgery Scheduling Coordinator
Position Overview
This position is responsible for scheduling surgical procedures utilizing established guidelines. Coordinates and schedules surgical/medical procedures & resources. Accurately enters surgical data and generates surgical charges. Pre-admits patients, answers phone calls, and general clerical duties.
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Terminology knowledge
- Customer service experience with multiple phone lines
Preferred
- Previous experience in scheduling surgeries and/or patient appointments for practices
- Surgical or Medical procedure knowledge
- Knowledge of insurance types and requirements
- Previous experience working with an EMR
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
