About the role
The Surgery Scheduler & Authorization Coordinator (AGHA) is responsible for managing patient scheduling and authorization processes in the hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient scheduling for surgical procedures
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Communicate with patients regarding appointment confirmations and cancellations
- Process pre-authorizations and approvals for medical procedures
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Handle inquiries from patients and staff regarding scheduling and authorization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in healthcare scheduling or authorization
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
