Support Staff (Downtown Tasting Room)

About the role

The Restaurant at JUSTIN has once again earned a MICHELIN Star and MICHELIN Green Star, making it the only winery restaurant in the county to receive both awards for four years in a row. We are seeking a Full-Time Support Staff member to join our Downtown Tasting Room team. This person will be responsible for various tasks to ensure a memorable experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests upon arrival and assist in creating a memorable tasting experience
• Respond promptly and appropriately to guest requests, communicating needs to Wine Guides or Managers as necessary
• Accommodate special requests and ensure a seamless flow of service throughout
• Clear tables after guests leave, transporting glassware, silverware, and dishes to appropriate areas for washing
• Reset and arrange tabletops and ensure floors and seating areas are clean and tidy
• Inspect restrooms regularly and maintain cleanliness and restocking standards
• Assist with pre- and post-shift setup and cleanup to maintain operational readiness
• Restock wine, merchandise, and collateral materials as needed
• Support Wine Guides with timely replenishment of table supplies and service items

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant, tasting room or other hospitality setting is preferred but not required
• Valid Food Handler Certificate and Alcohol Beverage Control License or willing to complete upon employment
• Show a strong interest in customer service and an appreciation for wine
• Possess a flexible schedule, including the ability to work weekends and holidays
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Able to communicate effectively with guests and team members from diverse backgrounds
• Interest in customer service and wine, with a willingness to learn and grow
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English

Pay and Benefits

This is a full-time position based at the JUSTIN Downtown Tasting Room: 811 12th St, Paso Robles, CA 93446. The normal work shift is 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience. Pay Range: $17.00 per hour, plus tips.
