Responsibilities DESCRIPTION: The part-time Support Services Clerk assists in staffing the ID Services desk and providing college ID’s and parking passes to students, faculty, and staff. Assists callers with questions about ID’s and parking including the handling of parking citations and warnings. Assists in the Safety and Security department communications center as needed. Provides clerical support such as follow-up reports on lost and found property. Essential Functions Assists students, faculty, and staff with the issuance of Seminole State ID cards. Assists students, faculty, and staff with the process and issuance of parking passes. Answers the ID services phone to assist callers with questions, such as parking citations and warnings. Maintains detailed records and information in the parking management system and the ID system. Enters parking passes along with parking citations and warnings into the parking management system. Provides clerical support to the Safety and Security department. Performs other duties as may be required or assigned. Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalent diploma. Six months of professional, community service, work study, student employee, or volunteer office experience. Valid Florida driver’s license or the ability to obtain a Florida driver’s license within 30 days of employment, with acceptable driving record. Desired Qualifications Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite. Experience in a call center or switchboard. Knowledge, Skill & Abilities Ability to work without direct supervision. Ability to maintain appropriate security and confidentiality of information. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service. Skill in multi-tasking, coordinating simultaneous mental, manual, and visual activities. Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other applicable software programs (e.g. security camera and access control). Ability to exercise initiative, prioritize tasks, and use independent judgment within procedural boundaries. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to exhibit a professional, courteous demeanor. Committed to working in a multicultural environment. WORK ENVIRONMENT And SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS Work inside an office environment. May travel between College campuses. Required to drive College vehicles. This position is eligible for Veteran’s Preference. Pay Benefits And Work Schedule $15.00 hourly up to 26 hours per week. Criminal background checks and fingerprinting will be conducted for all new employees, and for rehired employees who have had a break in service for one year or more. The Office of Human Resources will determine which background checks shall be conducted for each position, based upon its review of job descriptions and the responsibilities of the position. These include, but are not limited to, positions that have access to money, master keys, security-sensitive areas and confidential information; positions that have the capability to create, delete, and alter records; and positions that are responsible for the care and instruction of children. The College will conduct various types of background checks which may include, but are not limited to: criminal background, credit check, driver's license check, previous employment and references.
