About the role
We are seeking an LPN to assist in delivering quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Assisting nursing personnel on the unit, including charge nurse and Director of Nursing, during assigned hours.
- Providing resident care in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act and supervising non-licensed staff.
- Monitoring staff performance, assisting with staffing schedules, and collecting data for quality assurance.
- Supporting infection control measures, record-keeping, and initial assessments of new admissions.
- Completing resident assessments, monitoring skin conditions, and assisting with lab requests and emergency responses.
- Notifying physicians of patient changes, assisting with orders, and participating in team coordination.
- Attending departmental meetings, reporting performance issues, and supporting facility policies and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma required.
- Current, valid LPN license in North Carolina.
- CPR certification, with ongoing training and meetings attendance.
- Ability to make decisions, work under pressure, problem-solve, and follow policies.
- Proficiency in maneuvering nursing equipment and adhering to infection control standards.
