Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff in providing quality patient care and support the charge nurse and Director of Nursing on the unit.
- Perform resident assessments, assist with admissions, and ensure accurate documentation and completion of nursing records.
- Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff and monitor their performance under RN supervision.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, infection control, and compliance with regulations and standards.
- Support emergency response, including CPR, and notify physicians of patient changes or emergencies.
- Assist with lab requests, review results, and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
- Attend staff meetings, participate in performance evaluations, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing, including documentation, rounds, and coordination of staff and patient needs.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma and valid North Carolina LPN license.
- Experience in geriatric nursing preferred.
- CPR certification, in-service training, and adherence to all policies and regulations.
- Ability to make decisions, work under pressure, problem-solve, and maneuver nursing equipment.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
