About the role
We are seeking an experienced LPN to assist in providing quality patient care in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff, including charge nurses and directors, on the designated unit during assigned hours.
- Support resident care under supervision of a Registered Nurse, following the Nursing Practice Act.
- Delegate and monitor duties of non-licensed staff, assist in scheduling, and ensure proper documentation.
- Participate in quality assurance, infection control, and compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.
- Assist with resident assessments, new admissions, lab requests, and updating medical orders.
- Respond to emergencies, perform CPR, and notify physicians of patient changes or incidents.
- Coordinate with healthcare team members, including rehab aides, and attend staff meetings.
- Support compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma and valid North Carolina LPN license.
- CPR certification, adherence to in-service training, and strong decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, and follow policies and safety protocols.
- Physical ability to maneuver nursing equipment and perform multiple duties.
- Background checks and a drug-free workplace environment.
