Support Assistant II
Overview
Gilbane is seeking a Construction Administrative Assistant to support a dynamic project team on a long-term construction site. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced field office environment. You’ll play a key role in maintaining project documentation, supporting compliance tracking, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
- Manages calendars and coordinates meetings accordingly
- Prepares expense reports in electronic system
- Prepares correspondences and presentations
- Serves as Learning Coordinator responsible for working with BUL/Department Heads and HR to determine annual training needs
- Creates training schedules for BU/departments and communicates scheduled company training opportunities to employees to encourage participation
- Organizes and executes trainings and events including scheduling, sending reminders, providing facilitator with necessary training materials, and ordering/organizing catering
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of office experience in a construction-related field preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. For Connecticut, this ranges from $58,800.00-$70,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program. Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
