About the role
We are seeking a motivated supply professional to join our team in Warehouse Services at SCDMV Headquarters in Blythewood, SC. This role involves supervising and performing operations related to storage, inspection, identification, and receipt of property to help our agency function at its best.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and administer the filling of all daily Regular Supply requests from internal and external partners/sections.
- Prepare orders for daily shipments of Regular Supply requests to the Agency’s Field Offices, Headquarters, and External Partners.
- Receive, inspect, and stock supplies and materials to replenish stock levels within Supply Management.
- Communicate with Inventory Management on received forms and supplies to facilitate the QC process.
- Assist with placement or racking of forms and supplies received by Supply Management.
- Rotate specific inventory items using the first in, first out (FIFO) principle.
- Assist Inventory Management in performing monthly inventory cycle-counts and weekly/quarterly inventory reviews on all forms and supplies in the DMV Supply Warehouse.
- Support Excess Property Management, Recycle Management, and the Records Management Program with day-to-day functions, including pick-ups, deliveries, and destruction of DL material and License Plates.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (e.g., forklift, order picker, electric pallet jack) and manual equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, push/pull carts, hand trucks, ladders).
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager, both orally and in writing.
Requirements
- A high school diploma and work experience directly related to supply or inventory management.
- Considerable knowledge of supply practices and procedures, as well as inventory control practices.
- Ability to plan and oversee the work of others related to daily supply practices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain good working relationships across the agency.
- Ability to work under general or limited supervision and make independent decisions regarding supply practices.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift over 50 pounds.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Valid SC Driver’s License.
- Ability to drive 12 ft. to 22 ft. trucks and forklifts (order picker).
- Willingness to work overtime and limited overnight travel as needed.
- Must wear agency-issued steel-toe footwear in the Warehouse floor area at all times.
- Must complete a nationwide criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
Schedule
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
