About the role
The Supply Chain Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective supply chain management at Janicki Industries. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this individual supports various departments in achieving safety, quality, delivery, and operational efficiency goals.
Responsibilities
- Performs daily activities following established work instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines
- Maintains accurate inventory records using ERP systems, barcode scanners, and inventory tracking systems
- Collaborates with purchasing and suppliers to support timely replenishment and resolve material shortages
- Supports receiving and inspection activities for incoming inventory and tooling components
- Conducts inventory audits, cycle counts, reconciliations, and floor-level inventory assessments
- Covers urgent materials requests and production support requirements for production teams
- Supports freezer, controlled storage, or specialized inventory management requirements
- Aids in identifying opportunities for process improvements, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency enhancements
- Ensures compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and state/federal regulations
- Acts as liaison between supply chain, warehouse, production, engineering, and quality teams to facilitate material flow and operational readiness
- Works well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Some forklift experience is required; must be able to be trained and pass certification
- Previous warehousing experience preferred
- Must possess basic math skills; must be able to work independently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
- Comprehensive PC skills, including MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
- Capability to learn and use new systems
- Ability to function in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred
- Machining background to include knowledge of cutters, holders preferred
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Previous experience working within an ISO or AS regulated environment preferred
- Detailed understanding of inventory optimization and operational efficiency enhancements

Pay
Salary range for this role is between $30 - $42 an hour plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts.
