SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- SWIMMING (COACH)

POSITION GOAL

The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are responsible for leading and managing athletic teams, providing instruction, and ensuring the safety and welfare of participants.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
• Provide daily supervision and guidance to athletes.
• Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations of the sport.
• Manage team logistics including scheduling practices and games.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance team performance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Florida Educator Certificate for the Head Coach.
• Knowledge of the sport and ability to teach it.
• Computer skills as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience coaching at the high school level.
• Previous administrative experience in athletics.
• Leadership and motivational skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and staff.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Temporary/Subs work calendar.
• Nonexempt classification.
• New Hire Teacher Salary and Classroom Monitor Hourly Rate information available upon request.

CERTIFICATIONS

• Head Coach must hold a Florida Educator Certificate.
• Assistant Coach must complete an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education.
