SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- (HEAD COACH) SWIMMING BOYS & GIRLS

Location: Miramar High School, Miramar, FL
Temporary/Substitute position, open until filled.

About the Role

Positions available for Head Coach and Assistant Coach roles. Coaches are responsible for leading athletic programs, teaching sport-specific skills, and fostering student-athlete development.

Responsibilities

• Impart knowledge of the sport to student-athletes.
• Develop and implement training programs and strategies.
• Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic policies.
• Demonstrate computer skills as required for the position (e.g., managing schedules, communications, or records).

Requirements

• Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
• Knowledge of the sport and ability to teach it effectively.

Qualifications

Head Coach

• Valid Florida Educator Certificate or Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education (required if no Florida Educator Certificate).

Assistant Coach

• No additional certifications required beyond the minimum qualifications.

Pay

Compensation follows the district’s new hire teacher salary scale for Head Coaches and hourly rates for Classroom Monitors (Assistant Coaches). View salary details.
