SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- SOCCER (BOYS) (HEAD COACH)

Location: Charles Flanagan High School, Pembroke Pines

About the Role

This position is responsible for coaching high school athletic teams, ensuring player development, safety, and adherence to school and state athletic policies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions.
• Instruct athletes in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
• Oversee the safety of athletes during practices and competitions.
• Develop and implement game strategies.
• Monitor and evaluate athlete performance and progress.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, school staff, and officials.
• Ensure compliance with Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) and school district policies.

Requirements

• Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
• For Head Coach: Valid Florida Educator Certificate or willingness to obtain an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education.
• Knowledge of the sport and ability to effectively teach and mentor athletes.
• Computer skills as required for the position.
