Position Goal
Essential performance responsibilities for Head Coach and Assistant Coach roles.
Responsibilities
- Impart knowledge of the sport/activity to participants
- Perform coaching duties as required by the position
Requirements
Head Coach
- Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program
- Valid Florida Educator Certificate or must obtain an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education
- Knowledge of the sport and ability to teach it effectively
Assistant Coach
- Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program
- Knowledge of the activity and ability to teach it effectively
- Computer skills as required for the position
Preferred Qualifications
Additional experience or certifications in coaching or related fields.
