SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- CROSS COUNTRY ( HEAD COACH) (GIRLS)

Location: Miramar High School, Miramar, FL

Temporary/substitute position; open until filled.

About the Role

Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are available. Coaches are responsible for leading athletic programs, teaching sport-specific skills, and fostering student-athlete development.

Responsibilities

• Teach and develop sport-specific techniques, strategies, and rules.
• Plan, organize, and conduct practices and competitions.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, school staff, and officials.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the sport and ability to impart this knowledge to participants.
• Utilize computer skills as required for the position (e.g., scheduling, record-keeping).

Requirements

• Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program.
• For Head Coach: Valid Florida Educator Certificate or Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education (required per Florida State Statute).
• For Assistant Coach: Knowledge of the activity and ability to teach it to participants.
