Position Duties/Responsibilities
- Negotiate, advise, and collaborate with all levels of officials in industry concerning specific aircraft program, policies and procedures
- Assist in the development and executes the planning, directing, and prioritizing of activities and, therefore, must routinely adapt to frequent and unpredictable changes in programs and funds
- Provide resources and processes to support and maintain the intended mission capability
- Assign and review work on a daily basis, assuring that production and accuracy requirements are met, recommending performance standards and ratings, and approving leave
- Be responsible for the logistics functions associated with managing aircraft and weapon systems, involving many technical/program decisions and major Department of Defense (DoD) Service operating forces/components
- Manages and executes programs within the common processes and operating practices of the FST, COMFRC, and NAVAIR
- Pursue opportunities to improve fleet readiness and reduce operating costs on assigned programs, making additional funds available for modernizing and recapitalizing the inventory of naval aircraft and support resources
