Summary As the Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist (Division Chief) within the Center Operations Directorate at SSC, you will hold a pivotal leadership role overseeing all aspects of the Logistics Management Division. This includes developing and implementing policies, refining procedures, managing operations, and aligning resources. You will lead a team of skilled logisticians, driving their efforts to ensure seamless and efficient logistics support for the center's critical missions. Duties Help Manages Logistic Operations at Stennis Space Center.Oversees, guides, manages, and integrates supply chain operations.Provides expert technical and analytical advice, guidance, and leadership on all matters relating to logistics and supply management.Coordinates communications within the logistics community and supports the agency communities of practice.Engages customers regularly and coordinates with the customers to determine their needs and satisfaction level and the degree to which Logistics is meeting those needs and satisfaction.Performs a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees. Qualifications Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Overseeing or managing a complex function for a large organization in an area such as site operations;Implementing or communicating the strategic vision and organizational progress of a program;Leading, managing or monitoring contractor personnel and ensuring compliance to program requirements and regulations.
