SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)

About the role

You will serve as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Command Operations Department and Information Systems Division of Fleet Readiness Center Southwest.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the cybersecurity strategy to meet the mission needs of the Command and provide leadership, knowledge, and guidance to execute the strategy to ensure compliance with US Navy requirements.
• Manage relevant security (e.g., information security) implications within the organization, specific programs, and/or other areas of responsibility related to this IT position.
• Function as a senior-level executive, establishing and maintaining the enterprise’s vision, strategy, and program to ensure information assets are protected.
• Direct staff members in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining security processes across the organization.
• Ensure security improvement actions are evaluated, validated, and implemented as required.
• Coordinate cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews for the network environment and ensure cybersecurity requirements are integrated into continuity planning for systems and/or organizations.
• Advise other IT experts on a variety of situations/issues involving the application or adaptation of new theories, concepts, principles, standards, methods, or practices developed by the employee or resulting from the employee’s leadership.

Pay

Minimum salary: $143,677
Maximum salary: $186,785
