About the role
This position oversees the administrative and technical support for an organizational unit, manages workflow, ensures compliance with laws and regulations, and protects sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Provides administrative and technical support and supervises a staff of employees.
- Resolves informal complaints and grievances, trains employees, and certifies training requirements.
- Maintains compliance with Affirmative Action Objectives and nondiscriminatory employment practices.
- Daily manages workload, adjusts as necessary, and ensures timely delivery of agency items to external stakeholders.
- Reviews, interprets, and implements directives, regulations, and legislative changes affecting operations.
- Ensures information security by protecting against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or deletion.
- Utilizes various software applications for office automation tasks.
Requirements
The position requires a bachelor's degree and one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-07).
- Experience utilizing management techniques, methods, theories, principles, and labor relations concepts.
- Experience allocating and managing personnel, equipment, and workspace to achieve program objectives.
- Experience applying regulations, other official guidance and principles, to include processes and procedures.
- Experience overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of technical aspects of programs specific to the position.
- Experience in effective oral and written communication, and the use of computer software.
Qualifications
- Specialized experience: At least one year of experience at the GS-07 level.
- Education: Master's degree in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or related field.
- Combination of education and experience: Combination of education and experience may be substituted for the specialized experience requirement.
SkillsExperience utilizing management techniques, methods, theories, principles, and labor relations concepts.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm.
