Primary Responsibilities
- Serves as a Marketing Manager within Arkansas Tourism, supporting marketing strategy through planning participation, trend monitoring, audience insights, and KPI development.
- Oversees daily execution of multichannel campaigns, ensuring creative alignment and consistent messaging across all platforms.
- Coordinates with advertising, media, and PR agencies by managing briefings, improving workflows, and providing feedback to ensure work meets objectives and brand standards.
- Manages project coordinators, directing workflows, supporting productivity, and fostering a collaborative and accountable environment.
- Assists with budgeting, monitors campaign performance, translates analytics into insights, and prepares reports guiding future decisions.
Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Tourism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of marketing strategy experience.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Proficiency with analytics and digital platforms.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in park management, heritage conservation, tourism development, or a related field, including one year in a leadership capacity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Tourism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of marketing strategy experience.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Proficiency with analytics and digital platforms.
Additional Information
The Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism has three major divisions: Arkansas State Parks, Arkansas Heritage and Arkansas Tourism. Arkansas State Parks manages 52 state parks and promotes Arkansas as a tourist destination for people around the country. Arkansas Heritage preserves and promotes Arkansas’s natural and cultural history and heritage through four historic museums and four cultural preservation agencies.
