Join us at IHS Sanitation Facilities Construction! We collaborate with American Indian Tribes to plan, design, and construct water, wastewater, and solid waste facilities.
Responsibilities
Leading collaboration with American Indian Tribes to increase and maintain access to water, wastewater, and solid waste facilities.
Performing professional engineering planning, design, and construction oversight activities for community and individual water supply, wastewater, and solid waste facilities to serve American Indian homes.
Preparing project summaries, construction documents, and final reports.
Ensuring accuracy of program data systems for assigned Tribes and communities.
Ensuring that projects to address sanitation deficiencies are properly scoped, consistently scored, and have accurate cost estimates.
Visiting Tribal communities where projects are being planned and constructed.
Providing supervision and guidance to technical and administrative staff as a first level supervisor.
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
A valid State Driver's License is required.
This position may require a background investigation.
The position requires a REAL ID beginning May 7, 2025.
Must have a viable bank account for electronic direct deposit of salary payment.
Qualifications
Engineering degree from a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in preparing design documents, construction drawings, technical specifications, and procurement documents for water supply, wastewater, or solid waste construction projects.
