SUPERVISORY COMMAND INSPECTOR GENERAL.

About the Role

This position is a supervisory/management role within the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) at the Expert Work Level. The incumbent will lead diverse teams of subject matter experts in complex analyses and investigations, ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and integrity of operational and support processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to diverse teams during complex analyses and investigations.
• Lead a comprehensive program of audits, inspections, and analyses to examine the actions and operations of the Command.
• Inspect and report on the efficiency and effectiveness of operational and support processes, making recommendations for improvement.
• Capture, organize, preserve, and analyze evidence to support findings and ensure all conclusions meet legal standards.
• Provide independent and objective leadership on policies designed to promote economy and effectiveness, and to prevent and detect fraud and abuse.
• Direct the work of subordinate staff and teams to conduct complex analyses and investigations under demanding time constraints.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A three-year trial/probationary period may be required.
• May be recalled to duty and required to work outside normal duty hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with potential overtime.
• Work may require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or commercial aircraft up to 20% of the time.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment, including completion of a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
• This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing for illegal drug use.
• Must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1.
• This position is "Mission Essential"; the incumbent must report to work or remain at work during severe weather or emergencies.
• This is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) position; appointment does not confer competitive status.
• A one-year supervisory probationary period is required if not previously met.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Direct deposit of pay is required.

Qualifications

To qualify, you must have one year of specialized experience demonstrating the following:

• Leading a comprehensive program of audits, inspections, and analyses to ensure Command-wide compliance with regulatory directives governing cyberspace operations.
• Investigating complex allegations of fraud, waste, and abuse to maintain integrity and accountability.
• Directing the work of subordinate staff and diverse teams of subject matter experts under demanding time constraints.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Education may not be substituted for experience in this role.
