SUPERVISORY AUDITOR (Assistant Inspector General for Audit)

About the role

This position supports the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Office of Inspector General (OIG) in managing audit operations, functions, and personnel. It involves overseeing the CAR process, formulating and interpreting audit policies, and advising on audit findings and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Helps manage all DISA OIG audit operations, functions, and personnel.
• Manages internal and external audit follow-up activities.
• Oversees the Corrective Action Report (CAR) process.
• Develops and implements internal audit quality management programs.
• Provides expert advice on audit engagements, IT programs, communication, contracting, and finance.
• Participates in OIG strategic and audit planning.
• Reviews and adjusts Audit Division goals and objectives.

• Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • Must have a favorable suitability review and security clearance.
  • Must be registered for Selective Service (males born after 12-31-1959).
  • Must have served 3 months after latest competitive appointment in the Federal service.
  • Must have obtained/Maintain Financial Management Certification Level 3.
  • Must be able to obtain/Maintain a Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.

  Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience in accounting or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-14) in the Federal service or private sector that demonstrates: leading the planning and execution of performance audits, developing strategic, multi-year audit plans, and formulating audit policies.
