About the role
Serves as Supervisory Budget Analyst at Willamette Valley Projects which consists of 13 multipurpose projects with Hydro-electric, flood damage control, recreation, environmental stewardship and fish and wildlife business lines.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains budgetary plans and reports for assigned projects.
- Reviews and analyzes project budgets to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Works with project managers to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost management strategies.
- Monitors project expenditures and provides recommendations for adjustments to ensure project stays within budget constraints.
- Collaborates with other departments to coordinate financial resources and align project funding with organizational goals.
- Prepares and presents budgetary updates and analyses to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in budget analysis and management.
- Experience working with federal, state, and local government agencies.
- Familiarity with budgeting software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of federal budgeting processes and procedures.
- Experience with financial forecasting and modeling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
