About the role
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) seeks a Full-Time Supervisory Budget Analyst, GS-0560-12 to join the Resources Section of the Civil Engineering Squadron at 316th CES/CEIAR on JB Andrews AFB in Camp Springs, Maryland.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the Resources Section staff, planning, directing, organizing, and controlling daily operations.
- Manages the development, implementation, and oversight of the Civil Engineering Squadron's budget and financial resources.
Requirements
- Serves as a first-level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees.
- Responsible for developing, justifying, and executing the budget for assigned budget accounts or identifying and referring reprogramming actions requiring higher approval.
- Knowledge of commonly used budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, processes, and AF, MAJCOM, and installation guides.
- Knowledge of budget information systems technology and automated data processing concepts and applications.
- Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze data to prepare budget estimates, develop alternatives, and resolve budget/funding problems.
- Knowledge of missions, functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and sources of funding pertinent to installation programs/organizations.
- Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security clearance.
- Education requirements: Knowledge of commonly used budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, processes, and AF, MAJCOM, and installation guides.
- Knowledge of budget information systems technology and automated data processing concepts and applications.
- Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze data to prepare budget estimates, develop alternatives, and make recommendations to resolve budget/funding problems.
- Knowledge of missions, functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and sources of funding pertinent to installation programs/organizations.
- Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.

Pay
Salary Range: $102,415 - $133,142 Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
