About the role
The Supervisor, Quality position requires in-person attendance and flexibility due to the highly interactive nature of the manufacturing position. Schedules may vary and are subject to change.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for quality and food safety practices during operations
- Maintains holds and develops corrective actions (CAPA) by utilizing root cause analysis as necessary and monitors CAPA for effectiveness
- Scheduling/approving timecards in time and attendance system, assigning tasks and providing ongoing training/mentoring
- Makes sure processes and procedures are effective and continuously improved
- Initiates and tracks trend NCRs/CAPAs for all deviations
- Acts as a communication liaison between management and quality staff
- Co-ordinates pre-op, post-op and glass/brittle plastic inspections
- Ensures training of associates at all levels on quality programs
- Interacts with other supervisors/managers within Ferrara to share best practices
- Performs and maintains the environmental monitoring program and product testing program
- Trends the monthly KPI data for the Quality Manager and assists in preparing reports for senior leadership management
Requirements
- Demonstrated Leadership experience
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related field preferred
- HACCP certification, PCQI certification and GFSI audits experience such as FSSC ISO 22000 or SQF a plus
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a food manufacturing leadership role
- Previous sanitation experience strongly preferred
- System experience: SAP S4Hana (preferred), Red Zone, TraceGains, SharePoint, Microsoft Office products
Qualifications
- Preferred B.S. Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related field
- Experience with HACCP, PCQI, and GFSI certifications
- Experience with SAP S4Hana, Red Zone, TraceGains, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office products

Pay
The salary range for this role is $81,225 to $113,715 annually.
