About the role

We are seeking a Quality Supervisor to become a part of our rapidly growing team and to ensure our company remains compliant with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Quality Manager in assuring oversight and improvement of the Quality Management System measured through internal and third-party audits, internal instructions and procedures of process audit, Quality Gemba Walking, and customers' requirements
  • Support and ensure proper execution and compliance to the site Food Safety Plan, quality procedures, food safety programs, and policies
  • Participate on the Food Safety Team and Hazard Analysis activities
  • Oversee proper execution and documentation of the site sensory program, pest control, GFCO & Kosher compliance, finished good/raw material, and environmental testing programs
  • Review and approve Manufacturing Records and release finished product
  • Maintain compliance to the controlled document program with potential contribution for writing and/or editing documents
  • Perform routine operational verifications and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Perform related duties as assigned by management
  • Conduct inspections and real-time sanitation checks using rapid result testing
  • Sample ingredients and products as needed, using correct sampling techniques
  • Oversee QA Technician tasks and manage schedules
  • Train personnel on food safety, GMP, and quality management system programs
  • Perform organoleptic evaluation, where required
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Manage competing projects and priorities effectively
  • Work fluidly between collaborative and independent work styles
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience and desire to support a culture built on collaboration, sharing of ideas, and celebration of successes as well as drive for positive outcomes with cross-functional teams
  • Minimum HS Diploma or GED; college degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing
  • Previous experience in a leadership position, preferably as a quality lead or supervisory role
  • HACCP and PCQI certifications required
  • Internal Auditor certification preferred
  • GFSI knowledge preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, suppliers, and regulatory or certification agencies
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office, ERP systems, and laboratory instrument software
  • Ability to partner and influence at all different levels
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a fast-moving environment
  • A relentless drive to get things done
  • Flexible, willing, and quick to learn new processes, new technology, and new ways of thinking
