Quality Supervisor - 2nd Shift
About the role
Job Title: Food Safety & Quality Supervisor – 2nd Shift.
Location: Fort Worth, TX.
Reports To: Food Safety & Quality Manager.
Shift: 2nd Shift (100 PM – 1000 PM, flexible as required)
Weekend support as needed.
Key responsibilities
- Champion a “Safety First, Quality Always” culture, ensuring a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across the site.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Quality team, including hiring, training, and ongoing performance support.
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, allergen programs, and FDA/USDA regulations, maintaining the highest industry and customer standards.
- Own and drive customer complaint investigations, ensuring timely, effective resolution and enhanced customer satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis and lead CAPA implementation to prevent recurrence and strengthen processes.
- Oversee inspection processes for raw materials and finished products, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and strong cross-functional collaboration.
- Support site success by contributing to additional responsibilities and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in the industry.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in food safety or quality within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of HACCP, GMPs, and core food safety systems, with the ability to apply them in a production setting.
- Proven leadership experience, with strong coaching, team development, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working with systems such as SAP, Intelex, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Additional certifications are highly valued, including PCQI registration, HACCP certification, and Seafood HACCP certification.
- Knowledge of FDA/USDA regulations and audit requirements, with the ability to ensure compliance and support successful audits.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $63,000 - $116,900 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
