About the Role

To ensure efficient and safe power generation operations, the Utilities Operations Team Captain oversees daily operations, monitors equipment performance, manages staff, coordinates maintenance, ensures regulatory compliance, and prepares efficiency reports.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and oversee routine inspection and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Implement and supervise operational and safety procedures to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Analyze operational data and reports to optimize performance and reduce costs.
• Liaise with external suppliers and contractors to secure essential supplies and services.
• Respond to emergency situations or equipment failures with effective problem-solving and leadership.
• Meet with staff regularly to discuss progress, protocol changes, and industry updates.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in power plant operations or a similar industrial setting.
• Professional certification in plant operations or facility management (advantageous).
• Strong leadership skills and prior supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of industry-specific software and strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to operate in high-stress environments while maintaining focus on energy production goals.

Pay

This Virginia position pays between $81,100 and $107,400 annually, with eligibility for an annual bonus. Actual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and market factors.
