Supervises the daily operations

Supervises the daily operations of the Financial Clearance division within the HUP/CPUP Revenue Cycle Department

Tracks departmental processes

• Tracks departmental processes and reports to ensure the Revenue Cycle’s KPI benchmarks are being met

Ensures departmental policies and procedures

• Ensures departmental policies and procedures are being followed on regular basis and recommends updates as needed, focusing on continuous process improvement

Manages staff interviews, hires, assigns and directs work

• Manages staff interviews, hires, assigns and directs work

Appraises staff performance with rewards and discipline

• Appraises staff performance with rewards and discipline

Addresses complaints and resolves issues

• Addresses complaints and resolves issues that may arise

Acts as a mentor for department staff

• Acts as a mentor for department staff

Aids in achieving CFB goals

• Affords assistance in achieving the Hospital’s Candidate for Billing (CFB) daily goal

Ensures communication for delayed treatments

• Ensures communication is provided to department service delivery areas when unresolved financial issues require a delay in treatment

Maintains account assignments and work-queues

• Maintains account assignments and work-queues to ensure accounts are being worked timely and appropriately

Collects patient out-of-pocket liabilities

• Ensures staff collects applicable patient out of pockets liabilities prior to services for both CPUP services and HUP services

Credentials

• H.AHAM Revenue Cycle Certification or NAHAM Certification (preferred)

Education or Equivalent Experience

• H.S. Diploma/GED
• 5+ years Hospital or Practice Revenue Cycle Setting (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree in related healthcare field (preferred)
• Previous experience in a Supervisory / Management role (preferred)
