About the Role

Supervises the day-to-day operations of an assigned Patient Access department, ensuring workflows align with organizational policy and staff performance meets standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees day-to-day functions, staff scheduling, and problem resolution to ensure department efficiency.
  • Ensures accurate financial and demographic information is obtained and properly recorded.
  • Coordinates with medical, clinical, and administrative staff to manage patient arrival, registration, and pre-service compliance with third-party payers and regulations.
  • Supervises Patient Access department responsibilities, including policy development, process improvement, and quality assessments.
  • Monitors safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Promotes staff engagement and recognizes employee accomplishments.
  • Investigates and resolves patient and department concerns, including audits of SRS/CRS reports.
  • Oversees department reporting and resolves errors, exceptions, and unreconciled items promptly.
  • Plans, conducts, and supervises assigned projects.
  • Selects, trains, orients, and evaluates staff performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Prepares work schedules, provides training and continuing education, and recommends personnel actions.
  • Enhances professional growth through educational programs, literature, and workshops.
  • Attends required meetings and promotes fiscal responsibility through innovation.
  • Delivers outstanding service to all customers and fosters teamwork.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, supervisory, and computer skills.

Schedule

Full Time, Evenings, Monday–Friday, primarily 2p–10p. Hours may vary based on department needs.
