Supervises the day-to-day operations of an assigned Patient Access department, ensuring workflows align with organizational policy and staff performance meets standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensures department functions run efficiently by overseeing day-to-day operations, scheduling staff, and resolving problems.
- Verifies accurate financial and demographic information is obtained and properly entered into records.
- Coordinates with medical, clinical, and administrative staff to ensure patient arrival, registration, and pre-service responsibilities comply with third-party payers and regulations.
- Supervises Patient Access department responsibilities, including policy development, process improvement, and quality assessments.
- Develops, revises, and maintains area-specific policies and procedures; monitors goals, objectives, and safety standards.
- Promotes employee engagement and recognizes staff accomplishments.
- Investigates and follows up on SRS/CRS reports, patient concerns, and department issues, conducting audits as needed.
- Oversees reporting processes and resolves errors, exceptions, and unreconciled items promptly.
- Plans, conducts, and supervises assigned projects.
- Selects, trains, orients, assigns, and evaluates staff; prepares work schedules and recommends personnel actions.
- Enhances professional growth through educational programs, literature, and workshops.
- Attends required meetings and provides outstanding service to all customers while practicing fiscal responsibility.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, supervisory, and computer skills.

Full Time, Days, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday.
