Supervises the day-to-day operations of an assigned Patient Access department, ensuring workflows align with organizational policy and staff performance meets standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures department functions run efficiently by overseeing day-to-day operations, scheduling staff, and resolving problems.
  • Verifies accurate financial and demographic information is obtained and properly entered into records.
  • Coordinates with medical, clinical, and administrative staff to ensure patient arrival, registration, and pre-service responsibilities comply with third-party payers and regulations.
  • Supervises Patient Access department responsibilities, including policy development, process improvement, and quality assessments.
  • Develops, revises, and maintains area-specific policies and procedures; monitors goals, objectives, and safety standards.
  • Promotes employee engagement and recognizes staff accomplishments.
  • Investigates and follows up on SRS/CRS reports, patient concerns, and department issues, conducting audits as needed.
  • Oversees reporting processes and resolves errors, exceptions, and unreconciled items promptly.
  • Plans, conducts, and supervises assigned projects.
  • Selects, trains, orients, assigns, and evaluates staff; prepares work schedules and recommends personnel actions.
  • Enhances professional growth through educational programs, literature, and workshops.
  • Attends required meetings and provides outstanding service to all customers while practicing fiscal responsibility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, supervisory, and computer skills.

Schedule

Full Time, Days, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday.
