Supervisor, Park Quality (Part-Time, Sesame Place Chula Vista)

Supervise and Develop Team

Supervise and develop an assistant business unit supervisor and the grounds maintenance team. Primary focus is to maximize park presentation through efficiency and effectiveness of work while fostering a culture of safety and accountability.

Grounds Maintenance Tasks

• General cleaning
• Pressure washing
• Hosing down
• Sweeping
• Blow-pack blowing
• Miscellaneous grounds maintenance

Training and Compliance

Ensure proper training and compliance with department scheduling, time-keeping, small engine use, PPE, and cleaning chemicals. Enforce all safety, park, and department policies at all times.

Team Member Compliance and Development

Responsible for team member compliance and development. Coordinate park cleaning schedule with other departments to satisfy work requests and minimize disruption of operation. Assist with other duties as needed.

What It Takes

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience, grounds maintenance experience preferred
• Knowledge of pressure washing application and small engine use preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid drivers license

Availability

• Must have 5 days of unrestricted availability, to include weekends during the peak season
• Must be able to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• The Sesame Place season runs from March 2026 through Labor Day 2026, with onboarding and all required training to be completed prior to the start of the season
• Hours may fluctuate based on business need; may be scheduled up to 40 hours weekly
