Supervisor Operations

About the role

LRS is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead and supervise daily operations within an assigned geographic area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Operations Supervisor, preferably in the waste management, manufacturing, or trucking/transportation industries. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee driver or laborer safety and operational efficiency
• Observe and analyze overall efficiency of the department
• Report findings to upper management as needed
• Schedule shifts, plan for call-ins/no-shows, and report department metrics and performance
• Optimize facilities or routes at all times
• Proactively evaluate and perform facility, area, or route visits and assessments
• Evaluate customer support and problem-solving to address customer issues
• Lead and supervise laborers or drivers within the assigned facility or geographical area
• Respond positively to unpredictable situations or problems
• Establish a motivational tone and maintain a positive work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Operations Supervisor
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one if supervising drivers
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with a strong level of accountability
• Detailed orientation and upbeat attitude
• Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook software skills
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the job
• Experience with routine maintenance operations
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Regularly required to talk and hear, both in person and by phone or web meetings
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
• Able to read and interpret data on a computer screen or printed documents
• Work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, in a climate-controlled environment with heating and air conditioning
• May be required to move around the work site and may be exposed to various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow
• May be exposed to high noise levels from trucks and machinery while outside typical office setting

Benefits

The Operations Supervisor will earn a salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 per year, plus a bonus. This position offers a competitive compensation package and the opportunity to contribute to LRS's mission of becoming the safest, most innovative waste recycler in the world.
