About the role
The Supervisor, Modular Assembly - 2nd Shift will lead a Module Assembly Operations Cell within the North Berwick Modular Assembly Business. They will provide leadership to hourly employees in building Module Assemblies supporting both Commercial (V2500, NGPF) and Military (F135) product families.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the multi-skilled group of team members engaged in the assembly of jet engine components.
- Apply CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Lead the business objectives and deliverables for the line, aligning efforts across all shifts to ensure a quality product.
- Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
- Define and execute cross-training strategies to support program growth and attrition.
- Execute business decisions fairly, conduct annual performance reviews, hold regular toolbox meetings, provide two-way communications, apply policy/work rules clearly and consistently, and deliver communication of organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and minimum 2 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement/process improvement or similar environment, or an Associate's degree and 4 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement/process improvement or similar environment.
- In absence of a degree, a High School diploma/GED or equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement/process improvement or similar environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Demonstrated skill and success in team leadership, facilitation & coaching skills.
- Working knowledge of new product / process technologies.
- SAP, SOLUMINA and SFWF experience.
- Understanding of the QN system and required actions.
- Operations experience and understanding of material flow.
- Engine/component assembly experience and working knowledge of assembly practices, processes, and procedures.
Pay
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
Schedule
This is a Second Shift position: Monday - Thursday 4PM - 2AM.
