Supervisor, Assembly (2nd Shift)

CEC has experienced significant recent growth and has established itself as the go-to supplier for a diversified product line supporting a wide spectrum of markets from commercial products, military customers, to space research laboratories. The Assembly Supervisor will direct, mentor, and manage assembly personnel. They will plan, schedule, and supervise daily production activities to meet manufacturing targets for RF transmitters assemblies.
This role is for our second shift team: Monday – Thursday 2:30pm-1:00am (some extended hours may be required from time to time) & some Saturdays. On a 4/10 holiday schedule.
Responsibilities
- Direct, mentor, and manage assembly personnel.
- Conduct continuous feedback reviews in one-on-one format, provide ongoing training, and address any staffing issues or conflicts.
- Ensure products meet CEC’s stringent quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and address any quality issues promptly.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations. Conduct safety audits, implement corrective actions, and foster a culture of safety within assembly work center. Assures that safety practices are observed by all personnel and visitors.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement best practices.
- Monitor equipment and tool wear, and request external maintenance when required.
- Assist in preparing operating budgets and manage effective expense control.
- Establish department’s short-term needs for manpower, equipment, and facilities, and assist in determination of long-term needs.
- Assure that department adheres to schedules and assist in determining schedules.
- Coordinate with other supervisors in effective utilization of labor, materials, and equipment.
- Assume responsibility for proper equipment maintenance and good housekeeping practices.
- Exercise responsibility for training, developing, and motivating subordinates.
- Recommend personnel actions within department including hires, terminations, transfers, performance reviews, salary actions, affirmative action plans, and job assignments.
- Implement the company’s Affirmative Action Plan as it applies to the function supervised. Monitor conduct and relationships among the employees supervised to prevent discriminatory acts or comments and take or recommend disciplinary action accordingly.
- Inform manager of developments which may contribute to schedule delinquencies, personnel problems, industrial accidents, or other problems affecting the operations.
- Assist manager in development of long-range plans as required.
- Be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.

Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in a supervisory role; prefer 3–5 years in an assembly environment.
- Read technical drawings.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of best manufacturing practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree.
- Experience in RF Transmitter manufacturing.
Pay
Pay may range from $80,000 to $88,000 annually. The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations. Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
