Position Overview
The 2nd Shift Assembly Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting production operations by leading assembly team members, coordinating workflow, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day assembly activities, maintaining accurate production records, and providing frontline support to employees to achieve production goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage team members - Monitor performance of your team members and provide feedback, both positive and constructive criticism, where appropriate
- Perform the same work duties as those supervised or perform more difficult or skilled tasks or assist in their performance
- Maintain employee productivity and motivate workers to ensure hourly/daily pace goal is met
- Train new employees and cross train personnel by adhering to and executing the training system supplied
- Manage resources to meet pace and quality goals as listed above
- Display good leadership qualities, including integrity, ability to communicate effectively, maintain good relationships with production associates, show ability to motivate
- Look for positive qualities in associates to coach up to higher levels of employment
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports
- Understand how production flows through the facility
- Work with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
- Effectively communicate with management and be a conduit between management and your team members
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Safety conscience at all times as well as ensures associates are operating safely (be the example for your team)
- Team player and foster an environment that ensures each member of the area is working toward the common goal
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as lead or supervisor of 5-30 people in an assembly line environment
- Proven experience meeting and maintaining daily production goals
- Technical knowledge of refrigeration preferred
- Drive to push production
- Must be motivated and not mind a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work on a variety of units at the same time
- Strong manual dexterity, be able to adjust to changing job assignments quickly and easily
- Ability to use basic assembly tools- pneumatic, cordless, and hand tools
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Can read/ interpret drawings or blueprints
- Can easily follow technical instructions
- Experienced with navigating through a BOM and able to determine the correct materials to use for the assembly

- Production Plant
- 10-hour shifts
- Monday-Thursday
