About the role

DSV, founded in 1976, is now the world's third-largest supplier of global transport and logistics solutions. We manage the entire supply chain, including transportation, storage, packaging, processing, and clearance of goods across more than 80 countries.

Responsibilities

  • Implement space utilization plan to meet cost and service standards.
  • Maintain and monitor the space layout plan.
  • Develop and implement an effective product locator system.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to subordinates.
  • Evaluate the performance of inventory staff and subordinates.
  • Analyze daily cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Analyze directed cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Audit daily error reports and make corrections.
  • Analyze monthly WMS reports for cycle count dollar variances.
  • Analyze stock changes and validate transactions against product structures.
  • Analyze miscellaneous receipts and issues and take corrective action.
  • Lead physical inventory audits.
  • Use the online Inventory Audit Trail for research and corrective action.
  • Prepare monthly reports on major problems and project updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with associate relations and training.
  • Audit the warehouse daily for compliance with safety, security, and quality standards.
  • Communicate with DSV representatives and clients via email, write reports, and conduct evaluations.
  • Conduct daily startup meetings, encourage feedback, and coordinate operations with managers.
  • Ensure all company rules are followed and communicate labor/equipment needs to meet customer demands.
  • Develop and maintain team leaders and ensure associate expectations are met.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year experience working in logistics/distribution.
  • Ability to operate MHE.
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Basic computer skills.
  • RF Scanners.
  • WMS functions.
  • English (reading, writing, verbal).
  • Basic to intermediate level math for verifying product quantities, counting inventory, or handling client products.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to complete tasks promptly.
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands

  • Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reaches with hands and arms; stoops, kneels, or crouches; talks or hears.
  • Uses computer and telephone equipment.
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision and distance vision.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs while following proper lifting procedures.
  • Must be able to stand on feet for up to 8 hours per day.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals is rare.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Base Pay Range

The expected base pay range for this position is $62,500.00 - $75,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
