About the role

This is an onsite role based in Whiteland, IN. Working Hours: 2nd shift, 40 hours a week, Overtime, Weekends, Holidays, Trainings as required.

Responsibilities

  • Owns inventory accuracy through advanced reconciliation, research, and root cause analysis.
  • Supports operational accountability by identifying, escalating, and tracking inventory variances and user-driven discrepancies.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the inventory team, including department productivity, labor hours, SLA’s, metrics, answering associate questions, making sure all rules are being followed set by Manager and/or Director daily.
  • Maintain inventory governance across multiple warehouse management systems, manage date lot FEFO requirements in non-system supported environments, oversee serial number programs, support master pack SKU conversions and multiple SKUs per item, and develop vendor specific cycle count programs to ensure inventory visibility and compliance across owned and client managed inventory.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and development for team. Ensure that department productivity goals are met. Measure and report the team performance through use of our Productivity Report total for daily units completed. Manage labor hours and eliminate department OT by adjusting department head count and hours of operations according to volume fluctuations. Ensure positive interdepartmental communication, understanding, and cooperation. Coordinate with all impacting departments to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Perform detailed research and reconciliation of inventory variances across system and physical inventory. Support training for all new employees as well as providing on-going training for existing staff members along with SME. Analyze discrepancies and identify root causes, including user-specific errors and process gaps. Escalate and report user-driven variances to operations leadership for accountability and corrective action. Participate in second counts and supervisory counts when initial counts identify discrepancies. Validate and audit inventory transactions to ensure system integrity. Support cycle count program effectiveness through analysis and feedback. Utilize WMS and reporting tools to monitor inventory trends and anomalies. Develop and maintain reports to track variances, adjustments, and recurring issues. Partner with operations to implement corrective actions and improve inventory processes. Ensure adherence to inventory control procedures and audit requirements. Provide guidance and support to inventory clerks and warehouse personnel and assist in enforcing process adherence. Train, develop, and audit inventory personnel and partner with operations leadership.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of distribution center inventory control experience. 2+ years in a leadership role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and RF technology.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Strong analytical and KPI driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross functional collaboration abilities.
  • It’d Be Great If You Also Have:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Lever, Six Sigma and Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment.
  • Working knowledge of financial accounting, including developing and/or managing a P&L; experience with HR practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience with warehouse operations and systems.
  • Ability to manage daily execution and problem-solving.
