Job Overview
The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the department by supervising and directing staff. Responsible to oversee workflow and processes to ensure that the department operates efficiently and according to established policies, performance standards and state and federal regulations. Acts as a resource to staff in the completion of their duties. Assists the Pharmacy Director and Assistant Director in the performance of his/her duties.
Qualifications
- BS or Pharm D in Pharmacy
- Current NJ pharmacy license required
- Minimum three years of hospital pharmacy experience

Essential Functions
- Conducts performance evaluations for pharmacy technicians
- Develops and maintains the configuration and integrity of the automatic dispensing cabinets.
- Identifies and participates in department and organization quality initiatives.
- Oversees the pharmacy technician staff and makes adjustments to their workflow and daily operations as necessary
- Oversees the integrity of medications located in the automatic dispensing cabinets, medication rooms, and main pharmacy
- Performs and maintains scheduling for the department which includes pharmacists and technicians
- Performs same duties as a pharmacy technician such as the delivery of medications and sterile compounding
- Solves all problems on a daily basis, or refer those that cannot be resolved to the attention of the Administrative
- Teaches and coordinates the training of new pharmacy technicians

- Utilizes a variety of feedback to improve processes and services to meet and exceed customer needs
