Responsibilities

• Assign work orders to work teams to assemble products according to product specifications.
• Oversee or prepare necessary paperwork and reports for the completion of work orders.
• Maintain the clean room to ensure a healthy work environment and keep the area neat and orderly.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance Technicians and/or Engineers to maintain quality standards in production.
• Review work performed and provide feedback regarding performance.
• Coordinate work assignments, transfers, promotions, and discharges in compliance with company policies.
• Evaluate individual employees and recommend pay increases as appropriate.
• Hire new employees for the production line, as needed.
• Obtain feedback from employees and Quality Assurance to ensure products meet acceptable quality levels.
• Work with other production team members to establish and achieve production and profitability goals.
• Train leads and production workers in production methods, safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Review production operations and identify opportunities to improve work processes and methods.
• Evaluate production performance in achieving output and profitability targets.
• Ensure production operations follow current procedures and standards, and that line clearances and related paperwork are completed timely.
• May serve as a second‑shift supervisor.
• Perform other related production supervision tasks as required.

Requirements

• Education equivalent to a related Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) basic speaking, reading, and writing skills required for Spanish‑language lines.
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods, preferably in a related field.
• Ability to read and understand complex manufacturing and production information, including drawings, work orders, and specifications.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify improvements in manufacturing methods and processes.
• Ability to plan and organize production schedules to complete work orders on time.
• Effective oral communication skills.
• Ability to train employees and demonstrate production tasks.
• Ability to work effectively as a manufacturing team member to achieve production goals.
• Proficient computer skills, preferably with spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and related software.
