About the role

Responsible for staff supervision, training, development, coaching, and counseling of Foodservice staff. Enforces policies and procedures to ensure the safety, sanitary, and efficient delivery of meals to all customers.

Supervises the following roles: Food Service Worker, Room Service Ambassadors, Tube-feeding Technicians, Team Leaders, Chef de Cuisine, Banquet Chef, Line Cook, Garde Mange, Cook, Receiving/Storage Technician.

Medical City Dallas is an 895+ bed tertiary care center with a medical team of over 1,500 physicians, many recognized as leaders in their specialties. The facility includes a full-service adult hospital, pediatric hospital, separate adult and pediatric emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, and diagnostic centers.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, develop, coach, and counsel Foodservice staff.
  • Enforce policies and procedures to ensure safe, sanitary, and efficient meal delivery.
  • Manage high-volume food service operations in a hospital, hotel, or room service environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of food service management experience preferred, particularly in a high-volume restaurant, hospital, hotel, or room service environment.
  • Food Safety Manager Certificate obtained within 30 days of employment.

  • Detail and multi-task oriented.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer and technological skills.

Work Environment

  • Approximately 100% inside work.
  • 50% standing, 50% walking.
  • 12-hour shifts.
