Responsibilities

  • Captures and communicates all daily and routine responsibilities of the catering functions.
  • Assigns specific work or activities to teammates and serves as a point of contact for customers.
  • Frequently checks catering emails and CaterTrax for requested food and services, as well as dates, times and other details.
  • Organizes each delivery, setting up all non-perishable items in advance and distributing food preparation requirements to each food department.
  • Distributes requested food and beverage to the delivery location, ensuring all condiments and service ware are available as needed.
  • Ensures all services are cleaned up promptly at the end of the meeting or requested pick-up time.
  • Maintains organization of all daily and weekly services and associated needs, and communications with customers.
  • Maintains a clean and organized working environment and professional appearance.
  • Finalizes catering invoices and billing for delivered services.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the department, managing all frontline staff.
  • May assist with stocking food inventory, carrying and distributing supplies and equipment, and assisting with food preparation and dishwashing.
  • Responds to complaints regarding food or service.
  • Assists in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all teammates.
  • Monitors employee productivity and provides suggestions for increased service or productivity.
  • Promotes the development of the food service team.
  • Attends all required or recommended training, including allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
  • Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Serves as a resource and role model for teammates.
  • Presents self in a highly professional manner and maintains professional relationships with all teammates, vendors, managers, and customers.
  • Keeps manager informed of any issues, concerns, or problems.
  • Provides input to 90-day and annual performance evaluations.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to meet the coverage needs of the department, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • HACCP training and ServSafe certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Prior experience in a catering role preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
