Supervisor, Benefits and Authorization - Specialty Operations

About the Role

As the Supervisor, Benefits and Authorization - Specialty Operations, you will directly oversee the day-to-day operations of the Patient Benefit Verification and/or Authorization team members. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient and accurate processing of patient benefits and authorizations within the nation’s largest home infusion provider.

Responsibilities

• Monitors daily productivity performance, including team member coaching and addressing corrections where needed.
• Interviews, hires, and trains employees; directs work, appraises performance, rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
• Serves as the go-to for troubleshooting issues and resolutions with CMC Patient Registration team members.
• Maintains updated knowledge of industry, regulatory, and reimbursement issues, as well as payer requirements; keeps the AVA team abreast of key changes.
• Assists with the rollout of new policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position includes supervisory duties such as hiring, recommending/approving promotions and pay increases, scheduling, performance reviews, and discipline.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of medical insurance authorization supervisory experience, OR 3-5 years of medical insurance authorization experience with demonstrated progression.
• Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience preferred.
• Home infusion experience on the provider or payer side preferred.

• High degree of self-discipline in maintaining productivity expectations.
• Must be detail-oriented with a high degree of quality focus.

Pay

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Pay range is $53,339.06–$88,898.44.
