Job Description and Duties

This position is under the direction of the Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) or the Supervising Registered Nurse (SRN) III, Correctional Facility (CF). The SRN II, CF is responsible for planning, assigning, supervising, and evaluating the work of nursing and other assigned staff in a service line delivery area. The SRN II, CF receives, disseminates, implements, and monitors the adherence to policies and procedures, applies supervisory rules and principles, resolves personnel issues, sets goals for self and others, and ensures the continuity of quality patient care. Actively participates and supports the Complete Care Model.

Working Conditions

Travel may be required.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications (MQ)

Possession of Minimum Qualifications (MQ) will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If you are meeting MQ’s with education, you must include your unofficial transcripts/diploma for verification. Official transcripts may be required upon appointment. If it is determined that an applicant does not meet the MQ’s, the candidate will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position. Candidates who have been withheld may file an appeal with the State Personnel Board.

Candidates New to CCHCS

Candidates new to CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting. CCHCS prior to appointment followed by department annual TB testing/evaluation thereafter.

Academic Education

If using academic education above the twelfth grade to meet minimum qualifications, include a copy of your degree and/or Informal (Unofficial) School Transcripts.

Out of Class (OOC) Experience

If using Out of Class (OOC) experience to meet minimum qualifications, a copy of the approved OOC Completion Memorandum certifying your OOC experience shall be attached to the application. Failure to submit the required documents will result in the OOC experience not being applied towards meeting the minimum qualifications of the classification.
