About the role

These part- and full-time summer positions are perfect for those laying the foundation for a career in natural resources, keeping busy in retirement and/or wanting to spend their summer in Michigan state parks, boating facilities, state forest campgrounds and other outdoor spaces. Responsibilities

• Answer visitor questions
• Register campers
• Clean park buildings
• Mow grass
• Maintain trails

Requirements

You'll have the opportunity to shape the customer experience all while learning valuable skills and working as part of a team.

Qualifications

• No specific education level required
• No specific work experience required
• Possession of a valid driver's license
• Some positions may require certification or registration as a pesticide applicator

Skills

Frontline staff member skills are needed to perform the duties listed above.

Starting hourly rate: $15.50 (starting January 4, 2026).

Additional Requirements and Information

• Possession of a valid driver's license
• Some positions in this class may be assigned duties that require the application of pesticides, which may require certification or registration as a pesticide applicator in compliance with the Pesticide Control Act of 1976
