Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalency required, two years of college preferred.
• Work experience: Preferred with individuals with developmental, emotional, and/or physical impairments.
• Language: Fluency in American Sign Language is a plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise participants on the job to ensure independent, good quality, and productive work is being completed.
• Provide support to participants to ensure appropriate behaviors are being demonstrated during the work shift and break times.
• As necessary, modify training techniques, tasks, and/or the work environment to accommodate various participants’ needs.
• Supervise participants and facilitate the development/refinement of interpersonal skills during lunch, breaks, and transitional periods.
• Provide regular and systematic feedback to participants regarding their work performance.
• Ensure participants’ safety is maintained by exercising reasonable judgment and managing challenges with participants until supervisory guidance is provided.
• Navigate internet browser and Agency DARTS data storage system to record participants’ payable hours and progress notes/reports.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Environmental Conditions: Moderate noise (business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
• Physical Requirements: Stand, sit, talk, hear, use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, reach, stoop, kneel to install computer equipment. Close vision requirements due to computer work. Light to moderate lifting in required.

NON-EXEMPT

This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay in accordance with the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act.
